The national events company has received the required local government approvals to host the upcoming 2nd RaceDeck Salt Lake Nationals, 15th BASF Nashville Nationals, 1st Meguiar’s All-Star Get-Together and 23rd Summit Racing Nationals presented by PPG.
PLEASANTON, Calif. (May 11, 2021) – Goodguys Rod & Custom Association, the organizer of America’s premier hot rod and custom car events, returns to Salt Lake City, Utah on May 21-23; Nashville, Tenn. on May 28-30; Fort Worth, TX on June 4-6; and to Columbus, Ohio on July 9-11 after a year-long hiatus due to local and national pandemic restrictions. Following safe and successful events in Texas, Arizona and North Carolina that saw near-record attendance, the upcoming events have received all required approvals from local governments and are, at this time, moving ahead as planned.
“2021 is a year full of optimism and excitement,” said Goodguys Chief Operations Officer Andrew Ebel. “We have a lot of missed fun to make up for and we believe enthusiasts are just as excited as we are to return. The attendance at the three events we’ve held so far this year has exceeded expectations and we expect this trend will continue. Despite the challenges and swirling rumors, we are thrilled to announce our return to Salt Lake City, Nashville and Columbus as well as our second event in Fort Worth.”
The 2nd RaceDeck Salt Lake Nationals returns to the Utah State Fairpark on May 21-23. Dave Kindig of Kindig-It Designs will be participating with a few of his latest rides along with vendors including Raceline Wheels and Speedtech. The CPP Autocross series will make a stop in Salt Lake City, including the “Great Salt” Shootout, a head-to-head elimination event.
The 5th BASF Nashville Nationals will take place at Nissan Stadium on May 28-30. It will feature appearances and vehicles by famed custom car builders like Ringbrothers and Scott’s Hot Rods ’N Customs along with top vendors including Barrett-Jackson, Forgeline Motorsports and OPTIMA Batteries. The event will also include the CPP Autocross Series and Wilwood “Music City Mayhem” Shootout in addition to the hundreds of classic American-made and American-powered cars and trucks on static display throughout the show.
The 1st Meguiar’s All-Star Get-Together will be held in partnership with the NASCAR All-Star Race Weekend on June 4-6 and will mark Goodguys’ second appearance in Fort Worth this year. The CPP Autocross series will run again at the Texas Motor Speedway while vendors like Meguiar’s, LMC Truck, Curt, Go Rhino and Painless Performance will be in attendance throughout the weekend.
The 23rd Summit Racing Nationals will be held at the Ohio Expo Center on July 9-11 and is traditionally one of the most popular events on the Goodguys calendar. Vendors this year include Summit Racing, LMC Truck, Bowler Performance Transmissions and Ridetech. The CPP Autocross Series will also be held and the Forgeline “Buckeye” Shootout will pit the top racers against each other in a single-elimination bracket competition.
