Veteran custom car builder, TV personality and former Goodguys Trendsetter Tim Strange of Strange Motion Rod & Custom Construction is back behind the microphone this season for some of the Goodguys AutoCross action. Strange begins his sophomore season of announcing for Goodguys this weekend at the 5th Spring Nationals at Westworld.
This weekend’s kickoff event will feature all five classes of Goodguys AutoCross competition including a coveted finalist berth for the season-ending Finals Shootout event (also held right here at Westworld) which has been expanded to include a 32 car field.
Strange brings a lot of knowledge and car-guy humor to the table. “I’m looking forward to getting back out and calling the action – it’s been a long, cold winter,” he said. “One of the cool things about a Goodguys AutoCross is you’ll have everything from a track-ready super-fast Camaro to a ’71 Cadillac El Dorado with massive body-roll. Everyone can come join the party and the guys & gals have a ton of fun charging the cones. Looking forward to seeing everyone Friday!”
The Goodguys 5th Spring Nationals runs Friday March 7th-Sunday, March 9th. All event participants who have a registered car on grounds are eligible to compete in Goodguys AutoCross. All that’s required is a simple tech inspection. The tech line opens at 8:30am all three event days.
