Kyle & Stacy Tucker know a thing or two about competing for the highest honors at a Goodguys event! The couple who founded Detroit Speed & Engineering in 2001 won the Goodguys Street Machine of the Year award a year earlier in 2000 with a bright yellow 1969 Camaro. That car, built and assembled during their spare time (both were successful engineers at GM at the time) would end up launching their new business as well as helping to launch a whole new direction in racecar-inspired Muscle Machines.
Today, Detroit Speed & Engineering is one of the country’s leading manufacturers of high quality suspension and many other components for 60s and 70s Muscle Cars. Their in house manufacturing talents will be on full display Saturday, October 26th when the Tucker’s select the Builder’s Choice awards at the Goodguys 20th annual Southeastern Nationals!
Take a look at these gorgeous, one-off awards they’ll be presenting to the event’s top 10 cars! To be in the running for one of these beauties, you’ll need to enter your show car into to the “Builder’s Choice” special parking area held on pit road from 7am-noon Saturday.
But that’s not all! Kyle & Stacy and the entire Detroit Speed Staff is hosting the annual TGIF party at their Mooresville facility Friday 10/25 from 6-9pm! Come check out their facility, grab a bite to eat and get your weekend started off right!
