LIA Magazine (Ladies in Autosports) is proud to present a special new at this year at the Goodguys 16th PPG Nationals, July 12-14 in Columbus. The special award will be presented to a lady hot rodder showing her car at the event.
Ladies in Autosports is a colorful female-themed rod & custom magazine published by longtime Midwest photojournalists John and Julia Aschenberg. Julia described her and her husband’s decision to present this special new award in Columbus by saying , “We’re looking to present this award to a lady and her vehicle that is involved in this industry in one facet or another. This could be a lady who belongs to a local, state or national club; works for a company that is heavily involved in the industry; helps her significant other in the garage on her vehicle as well as others. She could be a welder, fabricator, upholster, painter, pin striper, etc. Our magazine is about promoting these ladies that are heavily involved in the automotive industry and hobby. This is what our LIA Magazine award represents when given to a lady owned vehicle!”
The Aschenberg’s will be on hand in Columbus starting Friday morning, July 12th to start their search for the special award recipient. The award itself is a stunner – milled billet and anodized aluminum built for LIA by Wet-Tech, Inc.
