Long an ardent supporter of our U.S. Servicemen and women, the Goodguys Rod & Custom Association and Specialty Sales Classics will honor our military with FREE SUNDAY ADMISSION to the upcoming 23rd Autumn Get-Together November 10 & 11 at the Pleasanton Fairgrounds. All active and retired service men and women will be admitted to the Get-Together FOR FREE on Sunday, November 11th upon presentation of their military photo I.D. at the ticket gates.
The FREE ADMISSION is just part of a week long celebration honoring our veterans. It all kicks off Sunday, November 4th with the 16th annual Tri-Valley Veteran’s Day Parade in downtown Pleasanton in which Goodguys will participate. At the 23rd Autumn Get-Together, a special vintage military vehicle exhibit will be featured inside the Young California building and we’ll post the colors both Saturday and Sunday during special ceremonies. Collections will also be taken at the event in support of Pleasanton Military Families Holiday “Pack-Out” packages (comfort and care supplies that go to troops). There will also be a special card signing for kids (located in the kids area) where they can send a note of thanks and holiday cheer to soldiers abroad. Topping it off will be an appearance by the Young American Patriots Fife and Drum Corp – a group of grade schoolers decked out in colonial military costumes.
“All of us at Goodguys salute our military servicemen and women,” said Goodguys President Marc Meadors. “We’re honored to host our freedom fighters for the day at the 23rd Autumn Get-Together. Our founder, my father Gary Meadors served in the military and many of our members here and abroad are active military. We sincerely appreciate the sacrifices they make every day for our freedom.”
