The Goodguys 26th annual West Coast Nationals presented by Flowmaster was a spectacular festival, packing the Pleasanton Fairgrounds with over 3,700 vintage rods, customs, classics, tricked out trucks and muscle cars. It’s clear this industry is thriving with the record turnout of cars and giant weekend crowds. Three sun soaked days provided the perfect backdrop for the Goodguys “Crown Jewel” event.
Beginning with Hot Rod Week on Monday, August 20th – the momentum carried all the way through the weekend culminating in Sunday’s award ceremony, which as usual was festive and fun. For a complete list of all award winners from this past weekend click here.
Garry & Dania Crawford’s stunning ’40 Chevy won the Goodguys/Flowmaster 2012 America’s Most Beautiful Street Rod award on Saturday evening in front of a capacity crowd. Just prior to that, Tom “Stroker McGurk” Medley received his “brand new” ’40 Ford which was completely rebuilt by Randy & Peaches Clark’s “Hot Rods & Custom Stuff” following a devastating fire last October.
It truly was a spectacular weekend at the West Coast Nationals and we thank each and every one of you who came out to enjoy it. Look for complete West Coast Nationals coverage in your January 2013 Goodguys Gazette.
