The Goodguys 11th Midwestern Nationals, scheduled for August 31-September 2nd at Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas will look A LOT different this year. And that’s a good thing!
Due to a massive construction/renovation project at the facility, this year’s event will be moved from the track infield to the Hospitality Village on the western side of the property. The move has enabled Goodguys to spread out the event layout a bit more, providing a positive new event experience.
The new event layout and location will provide for more show car parking on both grass and asphalt, a larger Goodguys AutoCross course, improved food & beverage service, a larger swap meet, much easier spectator entrance, improved spectator amenities (parking, restroom and shaded seating areas), wide cruise lanes for show cars, easier entrance/exit for show cars and an improved vendor midway and Good Gals Gallery (to be held in the shade under the main grandstand.
“This new layout and relocation could very well be the best thing that has happened to the event,” said Goodguys VP of Event Operations Harry Daviess. “We have upgraded the spectator and participant experience by moving to the facilities’ upgraded hospitality village. It will be exciting to see how this news experience plays out. It is indeed an upgrade and I’m eager for the participants to get a look at the new layout,” he said.
