Bowling Green, KY – Holley is proud to welcome the Goodguys Rod and Custom Association to LSFest 2012 as the segment sponsor for the Countryside Cruise.
The Holley LSFest takes place September 7-9 at Beech Bend Raceway Park and heads into its third year as one of the premier events designed specifically for GM’s LS engine powered vehicles. The multi-segment event includes a drag race; autocross, speed-stop challenge, dyno and countryside cruise, highlighting the versatility, power and durability of the LS based power plant.
“Holley is very excited to bring Goodguys on board for the LSFest” said Bill Tichenor, Marketing Manager at Holley. “Goodguys is a great enthusiast organization and their membership is very passionate about what they do. More and more hot rods are being built with the LS engine and LSFest is a great venue to showcase that passion.”
“We are constantly seeking out new ways to integrate ourselves and our members into high profile dynamic events” said Ed Capen, Sponsorship Sales Director at Goodguys. “Goodguys is a whole lot more than a static car show. The Goodguys Countryside Cruise will give participants the opportunity to take the enjoyment of their car to the next level and proves that these cars are more than just mechanical art.”
The Goodguys Countryside Cruise will take pace on Friday September 7 and Saturday September 8 and will combine a scenic 30-mile drive through rural western Kentucky with an electronic scavenger hunt, where participants collect pictures of very specific items along the cruise route. Prizes are awarded to participants that complete the cruise and photograph the most items.
