Goodguys Missile Debuts in Nashville!

After a 16-month build at RPM Hot Rods in Warrendale, PA (www.rpm-hotrods.com) the long awaited debut of the 2012 Goodguys Grand Prize Giveaway Car came at the 7th Nashville Nationals! The black & yellow, Steve Stanford designed ’71 Dodge Challenger based on Don Carlton’s legendary “Motown Missile” debuted Friday, May 18th to rave reviews from the crowd. It’s a stunner as you can see from the photo above taken above by photographer Robert McGaffin. McGaffin photographed the car for a coming feature in Popular Hot Rodding. We’ll have a full build and feature article in an upcoming issue of the Goodguys Gazette.

The car features a trick Roadster Shop chassis with independent front and rear suspension as well as Ridetech coilover shocks, Goodmark Industries decklid & fenders, meaty Michelin rubber, Billet Specialties wheels, an Indy Cylinder heads prepped 426 hemi, Tremec transmission, Kicker audio system, Vintage Air A/C and a trick, sporty interior.

The Missile will be on display at all remaining 2012 national events so make sure and stop by the Goodguys big rig for an up close look!
