The guys at Brizio’s have been busy! Over 100 (109 to be exact) Brizio-built hot rods have been confirmed for the upcoming Roy Brizio Street Rod Reunion to be held during this year’s Goodguys 23rd West Coast Nationals August 21-23 in Pleasanton. Roy has indicated this will be the one and only time he will round up all of the rods he’s built over the last two decades to display them all as one. It’s gonna be spectacular folks!
Brizio is known worldwide for building street rods that are meant to be driven – hard and fast, day after day after day. In fact – Brizio customer Dave Schaub is putting the final touches on his Brizio ’32 roadster to attempt the ultimate hot rod feat – drive all 49 US States in just 9 days (more here on Schaub’s trip (<a href="http://www.49in9.com/").
In Pleasanton, the Brizio Reunion will be the hub for lots of activity. Not only will you get to see nearly every Brizio car ever built, you can meet the man himself, mingle with the team from the shop and also purchase the new coffee table book – Roy Brizio Street Rods. Author and photographer Bo Bertilsson examines the family legacy and profiles dozens of the standout cars that have rolled out of the South San Francisco shop and taken the Brizio name to the top of the hot rod heap. Here are the Brizio-built and restored coupes and roadsters of the stars, as well as Roy’s and Andy’s own acclaimed 32 Ford roadsters, among many others. Bertilsson focuses on ground-up Brizio builds and explores some of Brizio’s remarkable restorations, illustrating every car with fabulous color photography. The hardbound coffee table keeper is 160 pages and it’s a must for any collection! Make sure you pick one up and have Roy sign it for you!
