Artist, designer, illustrator and long-time Hub member Eric Brockemeyer seems to be having a heck of a year. If there is major award is the car show world lately, it seems Eric has had a hand in it.
Earlier this year at the Detroit Autorama, Brockmeyer got to celebrate his involvement as part of the winning team for the 2009 Ridler Award – which went to Doug Cooper and Alan Johnson of Johnson’s Hot Rod Shop (both Hub members) for their 1932 B400 dubbed the ‘Deucenberg’. Eric helped with a several design renderings and put together a nostalgic period blue print and presentation. This past weekend in Columbus, OH the ‘Deucenberg’ took home the Good-Guys Street Rod of the Year award as well.
Eric was also an instrumental part of the Good-Guys 2009 Street Machine of the Year – a 1962 ‘C1RS’ Corvette owned by new Hub members Barry Blomquist and the team of Phil and Jeremy Gerber at the Hot Rod Shop.
Eric recently posted some of the renderings of this incredible car:
