Ground poundin’ 250mph Nostalgia Nitro Funny Cars are back on the playbill this summer as Goodguys present two thrilling Friday Night Drag events in July. First up is the 15th annual Goodguys Friday Night Hot Rod Drags July 6th at National Trail Raceway in Columbus, OH. Part of the Goodguys 15th PPG Nationals weekend, the Friday Night Drags in Columbus will feature the “Bullet Bob” ’77 Trans Am driven by Laurie Cannister vs Mike McIntre’s “Mac Attack” ’69 Camaro. A group of Nostalgia Pro Stockers will also be featured at National Trail as well as a full complement of sportsman classes.
Later on in July, the Northwest’s quickest and fastest Nitro Funny Cars are booked for the Goodguys Friday Night Drags, July 27th at Pacific Raceways in Kent, Washington! Headlining the one night only match race, which is held in conjunction with the Goodguys 25th Pacific Northwest Nationals in Puyallup, will be the “The Northwest Hitter” Plymouth Arrow of Bucky Austin vs “Mr Explosive” Mark Sanders and his ’70 Nova! Austin and Sanders will make two runs during the evening filling the air with nitro fumes and lighting up the night sky with header flames!
Joining the action in Puyallup will be the 5-second “Pure Hell2” ’69 Camaro Pro Mod driven by Goodguys President Marc Meadors against a soon-to-be-named rival. Over 200 sportsman entries will do battle in five classes in addition to the headliners.
