A true Goodguy has passed away. Bob “Tiny” Sparks of Surprise, Arizona lost his courageous fight with liver cancer last Friday, February 4th. He was 64.
Rodders in the Pacific Northwest and Desert Southwest will remember Bob’s large stature, broad smile and signature straw shady hat. He was a great friend to Goodguys, tirelessly volunteering and preaching the Goodguys Gospel whenever and wherever he could. Bob was a regular for many years at the Pacific Northwest Nationals in Puyallup, Washington before moving to Surprise, Arizona a few years back. He regularly attended the Goodguys events at Westworld in Scottsdale, always with a Goodguys hat on.
The first Goodguys Woman of the Year and close friend of Sparks, Margi Popp, remembered him as “Someone who never met a stranger. He touched so many lives in the hot rod industry and car show circuit. He was a wonderful friend who blessed so many with his contagious smile and positive attitude.”
We can picture “Tiny” cruisin’ his green ‘65 428ci Galaxy in Hot Rod Heaven. Cruise in peace big guy.
